Forty-Eight. Not as in, "The Lower 48," but as in 48 beautiful families I had the time and opportunity to photograph for the Fall 2025 season. Between weddings, magazine assignments, corporate gigs, and everything else I wake up to, I am so happy I was able to see, and help document these families this year. All of them previous clients, most of them previous wedding clients...and it would make blogging so much easier if I could just pop their holiday cards or Instagram posts right onto the page, but alas, that is not an option, so here we are in January and I'm sitting in SEATAC waiting to board my early morning flight home -- finally finding the time to make a small post about these families that have a big impact on me. The holiday cards and posts are lovely, it means everything to photographers that their images don't live out their lives as jpgs. Real, tangible, quality printed materials. Just lovely. I'm a big fan of New Year's cards because I think they tend to stick around longer. Family sessions are great in central Texas years round, and it's super fun to get creative with each family to make each session as different and unique as the families. Sometimes in wide open fields, often surrounded by trees, occasionally in or near bodies of water, and sometimes very urban downtown with some eastside or industrial backdrop making the colors of the families really pop. Whether you know exactly what you are after, or need a little guidance, I'm here to help, and would love to spend an hour with you making some lasting images for your families to enjoiy for generations.
